For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm on the outside looking in on this star wars product. I feel disappointed by everything that is happening. I want to say more, but honestly I think it would be a waste of time.

All of this started with "Somehow Palaptine returned." Disney bought it from Lucas so they can change whatever they want now. KennedyFilm doesn't care how it affects Canon or the fanbase. They just don't care. They killed Han. They destroyed Luke. I was done after Last Jedi, but boy, what a trainwreck this is.

Can’t exactly say this show isn’t for everyone and say this is for the marginalized can they. What if the people the say they are representing don’t wan it either. Then What? We end up with a screwed up franchise and basically throwing money into the fire. That’s a lot of waste.

look I don't wanna discount, discredit or invalidate the fact that Yasuke did exist but I gotta admit the 20+ years that I've followed some of Japanese history (I'm not a historian or an expert or anything) I do know many important events of their past such as the Sengoku Period (basically the golden age of the Samurai), Nobunaga Oda, the Tokugawa Shogunate, the Genpei War, Musashi Miyamoto, the 47 ronin, the Boshin War, the Meiji Restoration, Saigo Takamori, the Mongol Invasion of Japan during the late 1200s, etc. I don't know every single intricate detail of those events but those are the more well-known examples that I'm aware of but I didn't hear about Yasuke until 6-8 years ago prior to the 12, 13, 14 years that I've been following Japanese culture and history so I find it a little too coincidental that he was just brought up fairly recently

They're probably not doing themselves any favors in the long run. But I think the internet has been a serious blow to their work anyway.

Of all the rich Japanese history that was verifiable that they could've chosen and they went with this nonsense. How disrespectful to them. That's like making an assassins creed in Africa about a zulu warrior and picking an asian dude because there happened to be one around. The truth is that there is even less support for the argument that Yasuke was not a samurai. The problem is that this game is being culture warred. Most of the hate it has received is basically because it is perceived as a culture war to include Yasuke as a main character 😂. So it doesn't even matter if he was or wasn't a samurai all that matters is that the "other team" is pushing their agenda and not ours. We all just have to pretend that the moaners really care when their main objective is just to fight the culture war. 🥱 If they want to tell a story about Yasuke let them. Most experts believe he was a samurai hardly any don't.
